Job Description
TITLE: Sales Associate
Reports To: Store Manager and Assistant Manager
Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Store Manager, and Assistant manager the sales associate is responsible for ringing sales accurately and helping the store run smoothly.

1. Is responsible for accurately ringing out sales, and making sure the tills are on. They are responsible for excellent customer service.
2. Ensures that products are checked in and priced accurately. Helps maintain display
3. Produces quality work on a timely basis using safe working habits.
4. Uses and maintains company equipment properly and safely and trains crew to do the same.
5. Organizes, stocks and helps control inventory.
6. Learning the inventory and its uses.
7. Adheres to company policy and procedures.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
9. Assists in maintaining the Caras Nursery and Landscape complex in a neat and orderly fashion.
Basic Qualifications: Required:
1. High School diploma or GED.
2. Good verbal and written communication
3. Excellent customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of plant materials (Latin names, common names, general growth habits, natives, etc).
Job Specifications:
Part time - Full Time
15 to 40 Hours/week give or take
Working Environment:
Indoor: 50%
Outdoor: 50%
(variable day-to-day)
Routine Lifting Expectations: 25 – 50 lbs.
Maximum Lifting Expectations: 50+ lbs.
