The medical front office staff is responsible for managing patient flow and scheduling needs of a multi-physician podiatric clinic. You will be the first point of contact that patients have with the clinic; therefore, it is imperative to provide excellent customer service to our patients.
Full-time applicants considered for Missoula
Hamilton position is also full-time, Mon-Fri 8:30-4pm
PAY: $16-$20 per hour depending on experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
Field all incoming phone calls
Respond to emails and patient portal queries in a timely manner
Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
Register new patients and update necessary records
Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and then check them to ensure that required fields are completed
appropriately
Collect patient payments in office
Comply with all relevant practice procedures, HIPAA regulations and protocols, and maintain confidentiality at all
times with particular reference to patient records
Ensure that the waiting room environment remains clean and welcoming
Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and
compassionate manner
Dispense OTC items as prescribed by the doctors
Perform opening and closing tasks; presence may be required before and/or after clinic hours of operation

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role preferred
Able to multi-task and be in a distracting fast-paced environment
Friendly and compassionate disposition
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team - willing to pitch in and help
Proficient in typical office-based computer hardware and software; able to type efficiently
Willingness to become proficient in the clinic’s electronic health records (EHR) system
EXPERIENCE:
Customer service- 1 year (Preferred)
Medical terminology- 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills- 1 year (Preferred)
