Seeking an Area Manager for our Bozeman District operations. We are Advenco, a concessionaire for the USFS, and operate the seasonal campgrounds in the greater Bozeman area. This includes 13 campgrounds and one day use site. The position oversees the 11 campground hosts and two maintenance positions. This position is seasonal and would start on or about May 1 and end on or about Oct 5. Successful associates are encouraged to return in subsequent seasons. Wages are $19/hour up to 40 hours per week. A company vehicle is included as the position requires travel to sites in the Custer-Gallatin National Forest. Applicants must complete a background check prior to onboarding. Applicants should have customer service experience and managerial background.

Managers oversee several responsibilities with respect to the administration of the permit for a defined geographical area. Some of their responsibilities are:

Thorough familiarity with the Operating Plan for areas being managed

Collect weekly revenues, record statistics, and make deposits

Supervision and training of campground hosts, maintenance staff and customer service personnel

Take potable water samples or delegate to trained staff

Maintain proper records for site inspections and water systems

Ensure proper signage is posted at facilities

Evaluate visitor needs and recommend services and improvements

Responsible for identifying safety hazards and rectifying and/or reporting them

Resolve visitor disputes

Coordinate monthly safety meeting/potlucks with area hosts

Maintaining regular and clear communications between Regional/Forest Managers and field personnel

Responsible for handling complaints, infractions, employee disputes, etc.

To ensure that public relations are handled in a courteous and professional manner

Ongoing inventory and maintenance of vehicles and equipment

Maintaining key liaison role to the Permit Administrators and the surrounding community
