Appointment Type Full Time Regular Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt General Function The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for the overall admissions process to the undergraduate Nursing program, including the production and distribution of recruiting and application materials, admissions database management, academic advisement of program applicants, review of application materials, assistance in and coordination of the applicant selection process, post-decision counseling of unsuccessful applicants, and preparation of reports concerning the admission pool. The Admissions Coordinator assists with tracking of all graduates and provides data as requested for reporting or accreditation activities. The Admissions Coordinator maintains the Nursing web site to ensure all materials and website are current.Description of Primary Duties

Responsible for the overall admission process for the undergraduate prelicensure nursing program at both campus locations

Maintains an admission applicant database with required application materials

Collaborates with undergraduate program coordinators by providing data on applicant selections and post decision counseling of unsuccessful applicants

Prepares all reports concerning nursing admission pools

Tracks all graduates and provides data as requested for reporting or accreditation activities

Provides preliminary information to interested pre-nursing applicants

Monitors and answers all emails from then nursing website regarding the nursing programs

Updates and monitors social media for the School of nursing

Recruits prelicensure students and completes tours as requested by campus visit desk and or the MCHHS .

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area is required.Experience: Experience in health professions academic advisement is preferred. Successful experience in working with the public is required.Skills: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required; the ability to work well with others as a team is required. Self-motivation is required. Computer skills are required.
