POSITION SUMMARYAs a successful Member Service Representative, you will build and maintain strong member relationships. You will complete routine teller transactions, receive and process membership, checking and loan applications, open new services, determine member needs and cross-sell additional financial services.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Focus on the member, providing efficient service and creating a positive, actively engaged experience while assisting in completion of financial transactions
Counsel members and assess their needs, recommending appropriate products and services (i.e. Shares, Checking Accounts, Certificates, IRAs, etc.) to meet those needs
Answer all inbound calls and correspondence responding promptly to all member questions, concerns and inquiries
Cross-sell additional products and services to members
Balance cash drawer when scheduled at a teller station and make settlement of the days activities
Verify day-to-day ATM deposits and balance when necessary
Ensure members are aware of all terms, conditions and collateral held on the note and disclosure when disbursing loan funds
Maintain member and credit union confidentiality at all times
Additional requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a customer service position, preferably in a financial institution, which included duties such as operating and balancing a cash drawer and/or providing face-to-face customer assistance preferred, but not required
Willing to work flexible hours, including Saturdays
Must have reliable transportation
