If these words resonate with you, we should talk.Job OverviewPosition Schedule: Full-TimeThe Legal Division at Edward Jones is looking to add a Senior Legal Production and Analytics Consultant to its Data Analytics & Legal Forensics team, designed to support the firm's initiatives to enhance analytic capabilities and data-driven insights. The Legal Production and Analytics Consultant will play an integral role in partnering with senior leaders in the litigation and regulatory teams to respond to a broad array of complex data and information requirements. By applying legal, data governance, and analytics expertise, this team member will contribute significant thought leadership and enhancements to the firm's legal insights, strategy, and processes. Specifically, the Legal Production and Analytics Consultant will support response to complex information requests and inquiries from external parties, as well as design and lead execution of processes that enable more efficient response to fulfill legal data and analytics requirements. The Legal Production and Analytics Consultant will partner with associates in the Legal and Technology Divisions to build relationships and align strategies that ensure data and information needs are identified and addressed in a through, timely, and consistent manner. Legal colleagues and business partners will also rely on the Legal Production and Analytics Consultant to provide thought leadership on technical issues, make recommendations and be part of the solution to identified issues.Candidates should be highly motivated and knowledgeable about the industry and the firm. The position requires strong collaboration, an aptitude for continual learning, demonstration of intellectual curiosity by asking questions and connecting work across multiple initiatives, ability to identify and mitigate risks in new and evolving technology issues, and an ability to influence firm leaders.Key Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the associate will be responsible for:

Responding to and managing responses to complex information requirements for litigation matters and regulatory inquires, in partnership with senior leaders across the firm

Partnering with leaders enterprise-wide responsible for responding to regulatory inquires to enhance processes and ensure clear, consistently and timely delivery of information

Developing and conveying key information-based positions on legal matters in partnership with litigation and regulatory attorneys

Leading and supervising preparation of vast information sets to identify to assess potential risks to the firm, including estimating potential damages or exposure

Providing data-driven strategic advice to inform advocacy points, data production approaches, choices of and support of testifying experts

Developing strategic and tactical support for solutions to address technical challenges in gathering, producing and analyzing data

Identifying opportunities to enhance legal data production processes, systems, and tools while ensuring there are sufficient controls and security in place

Analyzing and identifying opportunities to address technical challenges to current technologies, systems and data structures needed to fulfill various data and analytics needs within the Legal Division

Gathering, synthesizing, and prioritizing requirements to produce formal solutions requirements

Representing the firm with external business partners to ensure strategic alignment and delivery of commitments and key milestones

Providing input on legal responses and strategies by partnering with senior litigation and regulatory attorneys, legal professionals, and business leaders firm-wide

Empowering senior business leaders to make informed decisions by providing analytic support and guidance

Identifying risk and consulting with subject matter experts to ensure project objectives are met, account for possible project challenges on constraints including risks, time, resources and scope

Define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution

Advanced ability to apply analytic techniques to vast amounts of enterprise-wide data to inform legal positions on complicated matters

Significant experience providing strategic thought leadership to legal, regulatory, and business leaders by developing and translating complex insights

Proven ability to recommend viable solutions to extremely complex issues in partnership with litigation and regulatory leaders

Provide matrixed leadership with internal and external partners to drive legal issues to resolutions

Demonstrated ability to strategically approach division- and enterprise-wide issues, including systemic challenges

Seasoned judgment, decision making, and conflict resolution skills, including engaging and influencing senior legal and business leaders on approaches to fulfill litigation and regulatory requirements

Creative thinker who is highly organized and has exceptional prioritization skills

Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to lead and manage large, diverse, and complex workload

Demonstrated ability to convey complicated issues to legal and non-legal professionals, including senior leadership

Commitment to a high level of ethics, professionalism, and confidentiality

Extensive experience with high-risk, complex legal and business projects

Qualifications:

Highly skilled ability to use a wide variety of industry standard tools to query complicated relational databases, such as SQL, R, SAS, and Python

Strong project management experience, including through partnership with cross-functional teams

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, or Finance preferred

Minimum 15 years of experience consulting on economics, litigation, or finance, preferably in securities, brokerage, or financial advisory industry

Broad experience in a range of legal matters, including complex litigation and regulatory engagements

Director-level experience at an economics or litigation consulting firm
