Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this position will provide Engineering support for all live event transmissions and studio productions including, installing and maintaining all broadcast and editing equipment at the home office, as well as providing field support in Kansas City, MO and Indianapolis, IN.The Game Plan :(What you will do)

Ensure all transmission equipment is calibrated and operating correctly for live remote telecasts and studio productions. Conduct quality control of all network feeds, and correct / document technical problems.

Provide engineering support for all live and prerecorded studio productions and support field engineering tasks at our sports venues in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Indianapolis.

Maintain and technically manage two production studios used for daily broadcasts, including: camera shading, lighting, and wireless audio maintenance.

Troubleshoot equipment when problems occur and perform regular maintenance tasks including, repairs and replacement of equipment assigned by management and Engineering staff.

Consult with Bally Sports Engineering staff regarding corrective actions unable to resolve alone.

Interact and communicate effectively with Engineering and Production staff to understand and fulfill their requests during their shift.

Occasionally support Corp IT desktop PC’s and telecom equipment in the facility.

The Stats :(What to bring)

3+ years’ experience working in broadcast engineering and studio operations environment.

Knowledge of technical Live TV production and familiarity with studio production equipment.

Knowledge of AVID Media Composer and Interplay, EVS (XT-VIA and X-File), Evertz Routers and Multiviewer, Grass Valley K-Frame switchers and SSL Audio Consoles.

Knowledge of maintaining AVID systems with LTO archiving and ability to troubleshoot computer-based broadcast equipment.

Ability to build, repair and terminate all types of broadcast cable, including Video, Audio and Network cables.

Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule and weekend shifts, as well as the availability to respond to emergencies and urgent issues via phone calls or text messages during all times of on-air productions.

Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

Strong analytical skills.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Knowledge of IP network related broadcast equipment.

Computer operating systems and networking knowledge.

Experience with Grass Valley and Ikegami Studio Cameras and Panasonic ENG Cameras.

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering
