Be a part of Kansas City history, working in the Golden Ox Restaurant - where the KC Strip was born, located in the Stockyards District (West Bottoms) of KCMO. This is a very unique opportunity to work at a classic, independently owned establishment that has just recently been completely renovated! All "scratch" cooking, with an emphasis on the finest cuts of beef, pork & chicken, as well as a spotlight on raw seafood and local vegetables.
Potential candidates should possess the following:
-Desire to express your own creativity while maintaining food costs and labor goals
-5+ years professional cooking experience
-Proficiency in protein breakdown, especially beef
-Experience in solid fuel grilling
-Proven track record in kitchen and human resource management
-Ability to work well with others in a team/family environment
-Catering and scratch baking experience a plus
-Punctuality, efficiency and a sense of urgency are imperative
