What would I be doing?Located just east of downtown Kansas City, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City is a Midwestern entertainment hub that offers something for everyone:. Ameristar Kansas City has one of the largest casino floors in Missouri, amazing dining venues, a newly renovated luxury hotel and more. Ameristar also offers convenient parking in a five-level, 2,660 space parking structure with an enclosed, climate-controlled walkway to the casino and entertainment center. We are currently seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor. The successful candidate will plan, organize and supervise Environmental Services activities. The successful candidate will work in a 24/7 casino/hotel environment.Responsibilities
Schedule team members according to department needs.
Must be able to be cross-trained in all departments of Hotel Operations, as directed by management.
Inspect all Casino Gaming areas, public spaces, grounds and back of house areas.
Coordinate cleaning of all areas of the Casino as directed by the Department Manager.
Complete paperwork assignments relating to Casino cleaning.
Oversee special cleaning projects assigned by the EVS Manager.
Report damage and fill out work request forms for repairs.
Checks supply closets to make sure they are neat and well supplied.
Instruct EVS Attendant to get supplies that may be needed from the EVS Storeroom.
Ensures that all EVS Attendants are following the prescribed cleaning procedures set by the EVS Manager.
Conduct daily Inspections.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
What are we looking for?
Excellent verbal communication required with sound administrative skills.
General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
Ability to deal with various types of personalities and situations.
Ability to make fast and sound decisions.
Be able to take a leadership role.
Ability to work in a fast paced 24/7 environment.
Must be available to work some nights, weekends and holidays.
Practice good safety procedures
1-2 years of successful supervisory experience preferably in environmental services.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Missouri Gaming License.
