Overview:
The Monitor Technician works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, Manager, House Supervisor, and/or Executive Director of Patient Care Services to monitor and interpret the cardiac rhythms and rates of all patients admitted to the central telemetry monitors. Maintains effective coordination of telemetry monitoring activities in accordance with established polices and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma orGED.
- Mercy provided Basic Arrhythmia Class to be completed prior to independently working in the monitor room.
- Other: Excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills are required.Preferred Experience: Previous experience in healthcare.
