Growth oriented multi-disciplined Mechanical Contracting firm is currently seeking a Tool Crib Assistant to support the Tool Manager and Purchasing agent in coordinating and organizing the company's material and tool needs. Receive inbound shipments from UPS and Fed-Ex, deliver to appropriate individuals and document for tracking purposes

Prepare packages for outbound shipping

Create purchase orders and issue to technicians and suppliers to materials, tools, supplies, etc.

Assist with material warranty processing and returns

Assist with annual physical inventory

Responsible to lock tool room, exterior warehouse doors, and gates at end of day.

Assist in keeping tool/parts room clean and well organized at all times.

Issue tools and equipment to field personnel as required.

Ensure return of issued tools and equipment back to the tool room after use.

Assist to maintain and update records in tool management software system.

Perform annual and periodic inventory checks of tools to ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Assist to ensure useable and safe condition of tools

Repair of tools as requested by Tool Manager

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficient with computer systems. Experience with inventory control systems a plus.

Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent time management skills.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.

Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at a time.
