Primary PurposeThis position will be responsible for the daily application of cash receipts, reviews posting to ensure payment is applied appropriately.Essential FunctionsPosts daily cash
Research and resolve unapplied/unidentified cash receipts.
Researches cash payments that were sent to the lockbox without coupons
Posts EFTs received
Reconciliation of adjustments related to prior payments posted as well as auditing and correction of rejected payments.
Handles customer calls & emails.
Provides timely responses to all AR inquiries.
Maintains a positive relationship with all customers.
Special projects as assigned by management.QualificationsComputer knowledge (Microsoft Office); knowledge of electronic accounting software; 10-key by touch; well developed clerical and accounting skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; analytical, process oriented, and ability to focus on details for long periods of time.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate rates, discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, etc.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
