Program to be held at Osseo Area Learning Center Employment Dates: Pre-program planning will begin in April. PROGRAM DATES: June 10, 2025 - July 19, 2025, with prior planning and meeting dates to be determined. Hours: Approximately 5 hours/day; 5 days/week (M-F).  General Purpose of Job: To inspire and prepare all scholars with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning.   Responsibilities: Position provides program coordination and instructional support in the supervisory areas for which employed; make appropriate use of program resources and technologies. Implement the goals and objectives of the District and the school and/or program for which employed.  Maintain contact and communications with program administrators, instructors, parents of students, and work with them in the development of each student.  Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota Administrator's license or MN Teaching License and enrolled in Administrative Licensure Program Desired Qualifications: Considerable knowledge of standards based learning, educational best practice, and Osseo Area Schools policies, processes and procedures.  Working knowledge of instructional technologies. Considerable skill in classroom/meeting management and organization. Ability to effectively facilitate and/or participate in team meetings and parent meetings. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Job Duties/Tasks: The Summer Program Coordinator reports directly to the Principal of the OALC and would be responsible for the following: Having an updated and current MN Administrative license or MN Teaching License and enrolled in an Administrative Licensure Program; Communicating the need for the hiring of teachers and procurement of education materials to the Principal at the OALC; Schedule students into available class slots in accordance with program guidelines and communicating additions and/or deletions to the program secretary; Assisting Credit Recovery teachers in managing the data and paperwork from their classes; Reviewing attendance rosters, warning and drop notices, and completed progress reports for accuracy and completeness prior to sending materials to the program secretary for processing; Acting as liaison between administration and teaching staff and disseminating any necessary information; Verifying counselor’s intentions on Counselor Registration Form if necessary; Assisting teachers in calling students to obtain reasons for absences; Retrieving school property given to students for a particular class if a teacher has been unsuccessful in their attempts.  Coordinators must then track, contact families/students, and obtain fees or fines from students; Reviewing and approving Credit Recovery staff time entries on Frontline. Informing the OALC Principal of any concerns or problems with Credit Recovery teachers; Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
