Description We are in search of a meticulous Senior Level Payroll Specialist to join our team in the service industry, located in New Brighton, Minnesota. This role entails managing and executing all aspects of payroll processing, including full cycle payroll, union reporting, and payroll tax compliance. This role is a temporary employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, reviewing timesheets, calculating wages, and issuing payments. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. Handle payroll adjustments, deductions, and withholdings. Maintain employee payroll records, including salary changes, benefits, and other relevant information. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data. Compile and prepare reports for union requirements, including union dues, pension contributions, and other mandated deductions. Manage all aspects of payroll tax compliance, including accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local payroll tax returns. Identify opportunities for process improvement, streamlining payroll procedures, and enhancing payroll system functionality. Prepare payroll reports and metrics for management and other stakeholders. Analyze payroll data to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.Please submit your resume and call Jordan Lynch at 651-293-3973 for review and consideration.Requirements Possess a minimum of three years of experience in payroll administration. Proficiency in managing multi-state payroll is essential. Demonstrated experience with in-house payroll systems. Experience with payroll for unionized employees is a must. Strong knowledge of payroll taxes and payroll tax reporting procedures. Proficiency with payroll software and related tools. Familiarity with relevant legal guidelines and regulations related to payroll. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
