Production & Service Lead

RBL Inc. is an innovative railroad industry partner seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Production & Service Lead. The ideal candidate would possess a clear understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, have strong communication and organizational skills as well as a familiarity with computer applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams/Office, etc.

Responsibilities:

Help plan, organize, and direct efficient day-to-day operations as well as production & service tasks

Diagnose/repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems

Perform DOT, FRA, and crane inspections (training & certifications via RBL Inc. if required)

Commitment to upholding safety procedures

Communicate with customers in regards to service repairs & vehicle inspections

Garner respectful relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers

Coordinate with other departments to maximize efficiency

Assist in development and record keeping of new products and assemblies

Plan, schedule, record and perform building, equipment, and shop vehicle maintenance

Maintain inventory levels for production, service and consumable items

Maintain current Bill of Materials for RBL production

Create and maintain guides for production & service

Keep, maintain and record all shop related documents

Preferred Skills:

Ability to weld and fabricate or accurately estimate welding and fabrication lead times

Familiarity with industry standard equipment

Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, and operational processes

Computer competency (Microsoft and general PC software)

Strong written and oral communication

Organizational abilities

Ability to foster an environment of accountability and lead by example

Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills

Ability to design, create, and direct processes

Compensation Range:

$50,000 – $70,000 Annually (Dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
