Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician. The properties are located in Minneapolis and St. Paul. If you have the skills, we would like to meet you!
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
General apartment maintenance
Complete plumbing repairs – leaks, clogs, replace faucets
Basic electric repairs-change light fixtures, outlets, GFI
Appliance repairs
Heat-zone valve replacements when needed for baseboard heat
Replace locks and cylinders
Some sheetrock repairs
Apartment turns
Minimum Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in maintenance or transferable skills.
Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement), proof of vehicle insurance
Own basic hand tools(drill, driving, pliers, strippers, electrical tester, screwdrivers etc)
Good customer service skills
Good verbal, written and communication skills
Be a self-starter
able to lift 50 pounds, bend & crawl into small areas, such as under sinks
Rotating on-call with other maintenance techs. On-call pay incentive ($100.) Every 9 weeks

You are assigned a building portfolio but cover all buildings for emergency on-call.
