Job Summary
The Front Desk Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. This position is responsible for managing front desk activities, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting office management tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental office setting and be proficient in handling administrative duties while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors.
Duties
Greet patients and visitors with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations efficiently to optimize office workflow.
Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and correspondence, directing them to appropriate staff as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including file management and coding
Assist with health information management tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before filing or entering into the system.
Utilize different software for patient management and billing processes.
Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate communication and improve patient care services.
Ensure the front desk area is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Skills
Proven experience in front desk operations or office management within a dental setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of ICD-9 coding and health information management practices.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Proficiency in any dental software is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and file management.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
