SUMMARY:We are currently seeking a part-time Staff Nurse to join our GI Diagnostic Lab team. This role will work at the Clinic and Specialty Center in downtown Minneapolis.This position is part-time (0.8 FTE, 8 shifts per pay period) working Monday-Friday day hours and includes weekend call and overnight call rotation./A hiring incentive is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible)./RESPONSIBILITIES
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
Educating patient on their disease process
Assuring continuity of care
Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
INSERT EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS/ LICENSES
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
ICU experience - current or within the last 5 years
ACLS certificationPreferred Qualifications:
Certification in area of clinical specialty
GI experience preferred
BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.
