We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Operating Room.This position is a 0.8 FTE (8 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Day/ Night, Every 4th Weekend/ call and holidays per department rotation.A sign-on bonus ($8,000.00) is available for eligible external candidates (current employees, contract/temporary workers, and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health
Preventing illness and injury
Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:
1 year of current OR RN experience
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Completion of an accredited nursing program
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in area of clinical specialty
BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged.
