The Senior Accountant handles a wide range of tasks, including financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. To succeed in this role, you must be proficient at analyzing information. Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) Requirements - Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Comprehensive knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting
Month end closings experience
Deep understanding of bank reconciliations
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Skilled with ERP systems
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
