Description Robert Half is partnering with a Minneapolis, Minnesota based healthcare client who is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team on an interim basis for the next several months. This role will play a key part in the transactional accounting processes for the organization, including payroll processing, booking monthly revenue entries to the general ledger, processing A/P invoices and other accounting tasks as assigned by the Controller. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of transactional accounting, prior exposure to either processing or overseeing the payroll function, and a strong knowledge of month-end close. Responsibilities:

Work closely with the payroll function, including processing using UKG software for approximately 500 employees on a bi-weekly basis.

Manage reporting and submission of payroll-related documents, including retirement, insurance, and employee reimbursements, using the UKG payroll system.

Validate bi-weekly 401K deductions, funding the third party servicing company with the funds withheld from employee paychecks.

Calculate and pay quarterly bonuses for exempt corporate staff.

Monitor, review, and process accounts payable, including coding of invoices through check processing in the company ERP system.

Manage monthly A/R and revenue recording process by preparing journal entries for all clinic locations.

Reconcile bank accounts and monitor daily cash flow across multiple accounts.

Interact with third-party billing organization to understand what revenue has been collected and where opportunities exist within the denials and collection process.

Assist with tax compliance, including the preparation of monthly sales tax returns and the MN Care Tax filings.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Proficiency in accounting and payroll software (e.g., SAGE Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.

Prior experience processing payroll and participating in the transactional accounting processes of A/P and A/R

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and employee benefits administration.

Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to manage sensitive, confidential information with a high level of discretion.
