Job DescriptionOne of the nations largest providers of pharmacy services to more than 800 hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. They will be responsible for the development of new software applications. This position includes working with a team of individuals to identify the goals of the software, develop a system for implementation, and overseeing the development process. This includes reviewing code that subordinates have written to ensure it is works correctly and researching the most up-to-date techniques in software design. In addition, the Senior Software Engineer spends time communicating progress on software development to subordinates, project managers, and business analysts; discusses implementation in terms and conditions that the individual less familiar with software development can understand and identify product requirements and limitations to ensure system function; confer with users, sponsors and stakeholders to identify their vision and needs; design a software or group of software that meet clients needs.Skills and RequirementsBachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or in lieu of degree, combination of extensive related work experience and education in a computer science related field5+ years of related experienceExperience and knowledge of various computer codes, including Java, NET, and C#Proficiency with coding schemes specific to ASP.NET, MVC, C#, VB.NET, HTML5, JavaScriptExperience working with SQL and TFSExperience with computer programming and systems/database analysisDemonstrated ability working with Business groups defining requirements, and project goals.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a teamEffective communication skills (both written and verbal) with internal and external clients nullWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
