Description Robert Half is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a local HR department. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll operations, which affects the compensation of every employee in our organization. The ideal candidate has a strong numerical aptitude, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant payroll software.Responsibilities:

Process and manage company payroll every pay period.

Maintain employee records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles, and department/ division transfers.

Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.

Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive payroll records.

Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries.

Coordinate with HR and Accounting teams in aligning payroll procedures and systems.

Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Stay updated with the latest payroll trends, technology, and best practices.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Proven experience as a payroll specialist or payroll manager.

Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.

Highly skilled in mathematics and numerical data.

A high degree of professionalism and strict confidentiality.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office and basic payroll software.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

In-depth knowledge of relevant legal regulations and payroll administration.
