Hiring for a technician conducting physical/material testing at a Fortune 500 company!To be considered, please apply and send resume directly to [email protected]: Set up and conduct a variety of tests including oil vapor and oil aerosol tests, thermal cycling, air flow and pressure cycling tests. Perform tests according to internal procedures as well as ISO and other external standards Utilize a variety of instrumentation, including thermocouples, pressure sensors, flowmeters, torque, and tensile/force testing Preparation and assembly of prototype parts for testing – utilizing various equipment including ultrasonic and thermal welding and laser cutting of materials. Perform monthly lab equipment checks and routine maintenance on lab instrumentation and equipment Assist in managing the calibrated instruments by working with the calibration department Understand and follow the instructions and specifications of engineers and other requestors Prepare written test reports according to lab standards Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and work demands Maintain and follow proper storage of lab supplies and chemicals Assist in the creation of new test procedures as necessary Utilize the test request system for lab assignments and submission of reports Perform other duties as assigned Regular and predictable attendance and punctualityAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Sciences, or Engineering Technology 1+ years of prior experience in a laboratory Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel Experience with pneumatic systems and troubleshooting Experience with temperature and pressure instrumentation Knowledge of lab environment, safety practices, and cleanliness Strong analytical, observational, and time management skills Commute to the office dailyPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in scientific or engineering discipline Experience in writing technical reports Experience in pneumatic system design. Knowledge of test and measurement equipment Ability to read engineering drawings.
