As a Lead Quality Engineering Technician here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our aerospace products. You will collaborate with a team of technicians and engineers to provide technical expertise to support our manufacturing processes and maintain compliance with industry standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will contribute to the success of our projects and the overall growth of our business. You will report directly to our Sr. Quality Manager and you'll work on site at our Minneapolis, MN location. In this role, you will impact the success of our quality operations by providing quality support and technical expertise to ensure smooth production processes and timely delivery of products.In this role, you will have a significant impact on our Aerospace business unit by leading quality inspections, conducting first article inspections, participate in audits, and implementing corrective actions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards. Your strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities will be instrumental in identifying and resolving quality issues.Key Responsibilities

Lead or collaborate with a team of technicians and engineers to provide technical guidance and support

Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards

Implement corrective actions to address quality issues

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to meet production goals

Support the delivery of high-quality products

Generate and change notices and redline specifications and/or work instructions and route through approval process

Identify alternate components, submit and track requisitions for purchase

Complete first article inspection reports for review and validation by engineering

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.YOU MUST HAVE

High School Diploma

5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, of which 3 years are in a Quality Technician or a related role

WE VALUE

Associate Degree in Electronics Technology or other technical discipline

Experience in aerospace industry standards

Experience with AS9100/ISO9001

AS9100/ISO9001 Auditing Experience

Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong technical skills in quality inspection and manufacturing processes

Experience collaborating with a team of technicians and engineers

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities

Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Experience redlining documents (part specification and/or work instructions)
