Children's Country Day School is a nurturing, farm and nature-based preschool fostering a love of learning, respect for others, and a positive self-concept. We are situated on a 7-acre model farm, overlooking picturesque St. Paul. Children's Country Day School has been providing quality early childhood education for over 50 years.
We are looking for high-quality Teachers and Assistant Teachers to join our team this summer.
Staff may work with children between the ages of 2 and 7.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Creating a safe and loving environment for the students
Caring for children’s basic needs
Supporting children through various social situations and providing guidance for behavior management as needed
Bringing campers to water play activities and specialty classes around the farm such as Art, Animals and Nature
Communicating with families about each child’s camp experience
Collaborating with other teachers to plan out daily routines
Planning activities for the children to do between scheduled activities
Preparing and serving snacks for campers and assisting students with bathroom breaks or diaper changes.
Applicants must be Rule 3 Teacher or Assistant Teacher qualified. See requirements at https://www.revisor.mn.gov/rules/9503/ Must be able to occasionally lift children 50+ pounds and be able to bend, crawl, kneel and crouch when interacting with the children. This seasonal position would be for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, although there may be the opportunity for a part time position. Our summer camp program runs from June 9th – August 15th, 2025. Ideally, staff would also be available June 4th and 5th for orientation, set up and a camp open house. No evening or weekend requirements. Staff are eligible for paid sick time and are provided with paid lunch breaks.
