Underwriter, Managed Care

We are seeking in our Minnesota office a Managed Care Underwriter who will work on a team responsible for producing a profitable book of Health business.  Responsibilities will include:Perform underwriting and risk assessment for a suite of Health products, including HMO Reinsurance, Provider Excess and Medical ExcessManagement of key external stakeholder relationships, including brokers and clientsAccountable for thorough communication and explanation of all underwriting decisionsEssure PartnerRe competitiveness with peers in industry, while ensuring compliance with established guidelines and controlsCollaborate with a team of underwriters, nurses, actuaries, and claims examiners while developing appropriate terms for renewal clients and new prospectsContribute to continuous improvement within the underwriting teamParticipation on internal and external audits as requiredAssists with maintaining and updating underwriting manuals as needed
