Assistant Underwriter, Health

About the role:We are seeking in our Minnesota office a Managed Care Assistant Underwriter who will be responsible for prioritizing and completing requests for proposals, analyzing and pre-underwriting new and renewal business for our Managed Care products.  The position works within a team environment to produce a profitable book of business. Review underwriting information, develop rates and terms for Managed Care accounts based upon underwriting principles, guidelines, and account specific dataInteract with brokers, consultants and reinsurance intermediaries as necessaryCompose, prepare and generate correspondence, proposals and statistical reports as requiredProvide management reports and maintain key data systems as requiredResponsible for all aspects of account management and producer relationships to maximize profitability and meet service standardsWorks closely with underwriters, medical management, and claim examiners to meet required deadlines, business objectives, and client service standardsReview, finalize and issue Reinsurance Agreements, Policies and AmendmentsAssists with maintaining and updating underwriting manuals as needed
