The State of Minnesota is committed to equity and inclusion, and invests in employees by providing benefits, support resources, and training and development opportunities.This position is responsible for the overall coordination and administration of the University legal contract process system involving all University licenses, leases, grants and clinical programs by successfully procuring negotiations, compositions, development and producing legally sound documents through extensive knowledge of State statute, State and Federal laws and MinnState policies. Approximately sixty percent of these documents are new contracts, thirty percent are new leases, clinical programs and grants and ten percent are annual renewal contracts.Minimum Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of general contract programs, workflow software, and legal terminology sufficient to serve as the university's expert in this area.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret laws and regulations, policies and procedures governing the contracts program sufficient to develop university procedures and guidelines.

Ability to research pertinent information and have negotiation skills.

Superior technical writing skills and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in spelling and grammar.

Knowledge of purchasing and accounting system procedures in regard to the administration of contracts.

Knowledge of word processing sufficient to use software such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and FileMaker Pro to create, format, edit, print and save a variety of documents, including spreadsheets, tables, charts, graphs, presentations, letters, memos, forms, etc.
