Growing together.The Tech Support Analyst supports the Identity Risk Operations team as part of the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) organization, supporting identity resolution and identity collision risk products. The role requires a technical expert with a focus on operational efficiency, vulnerability management and identity and access management to act as a central point of contact for security process issues and questions. As a senior member of the team, this role will also help mentor and coach other team members on best practices, skills and techniques.This role includes, but is not limited to, coding, testing, debugging, process creation, tools analysis, documentation, research & development, maintenance, operations, and delivery. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, and strategies; automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

CI/CD: Develop and maintain automated pipelines for software development, providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements

Containerization: Work with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes

System Monitoring and troubleshooting: Setup and maintain monitoring and alerting. Monitor system health and resolve issues proactively

Security: Implement and maintain security best practices in DevOps processes, proactively identify and resolve security vulnerabilities

Collaboration: collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams for efficient software delivery. Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure alignment with operational SLA’s

Technology Research: Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the DevOps field, sharing relevant knowledge and insights with the team to drive innovation and improvement

Review logs, network traffic, and endpoint data to identify and report possible security issues

Participate in knowledge sharing with other team members and industry collaboration organizations to advance the security monitoring program

Ensure that Service Level Agreements are defined, tracked and met by the team

Drive execution of daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for statistical threats, KPI’s, and KRI’s

Contribute to and maintain Standard Operating Procedures

2+ years of professional IT experience (system administration, software development, or a combination), with steadily increasing responsibilities

2+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or equivalent position

2+ years of experience working with AWS, Linux/Unix, Java, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Artifactory)

2+ years of experience working with data streaming (e.g., Kafka) and data analysis (e.g., Splunk) tools

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agile & CI/CD methodologies and enabling automation within development teams

Experience working with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL databases

Information security experience, especially if focused on IAM security

Practical incident response engagement and/or management

ML/AI and data analytics, or ML/AI toolset & techniques experience

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
