Conduct confidential investigations, document relevant findings and report any illegal activities in accordance with all laws and regulations

Review claims, look for patterns of potential fraud, waste and/or abuse and interact with medical providers to request medical records for investigations

Conduct onsite provider claim and/or clinical audits (utilizing appropriate personnel) to gather and analyze all necessary information and documents related to the investigation

The challenge for you will be the high volume of cases on your plate at one time. You will be part of a team responsible for triaging, investigating and resolving instances of healthcare fraud and/or abusive conduct. You will spend your time doing audits, claims data analysis, conducting investigations and putting together your findings.What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree plus 2 years of equivalent work experience with healthcare related employment

2+ years of demonstrated intermediate level of knowledge in health care fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) experience

2+ years of demonstrated intermediate level of knowledge in state or federal regulatory FWA requirements experience

2+ years of demonstrated intermediate level of knowledge analyzing data to identify fraud, waste and abuse trends experience

Ability to travel up to 25%

Must participate in legal proceedings, arbitration, and depositions at the direction of management

Demonstrated intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word or 2-5 years of experience

Active affiliations:

National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association (NHCAA)

Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator (AHFI)

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

License and/or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

Intermediate level of knowledge in pharmacy claims processing

Demonstrated intermediate level of knowledge in health care policies, procedures, and documentation standards or 2-5 years of experience

Demonstrated intermediate level of skills in developing investigative strategies or 2-5 years of experience

Specialized knowledge/training in healthcare FWA investigations
