We are looking for a Senior IT Service Engineer who will support laboratory data systems with a focus on integration and operation of data acquisition systems, laboratory measurement equipment and interfaces for intersystem communication.As a Senior IT Service Engineer, you create chemistry by

Supporting and advising our partners on complex IT application aspects as well as on the digitalization and automation of laboratory processes.

Configuring and troubleshooting software and hardware, providing end-user support and resolving technical issues. By doing this, you will ensure a smooth operation and functionality of our lab IT systems. Communicating with internal business partners / users to understand their product needs, and always focusing on user experience and satisfaction

Reviewing product requirements and developing test scenarios for vendor solutions as well as for tailored self-developed solutions.

Collaborating and working effectively with interdisciplinary, multinational and cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts clearly, and continuously improving the software implementation and delivery processes.

Learning and having the willingness to adopt new technologies.

If you

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences (e,g, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Lab) or related fields.

5+ years of practical experience in the support of complex IT systems in the laboratory area, as well as strong experience in integrating laboratory equipment into digital workflows.

Experience in agile project methodologies (e.g. Scrum, KANBAN)

Experience with IT Change Management Processes and tools (e.g. ServiceNow) as well as Windows and Linux operating systems.

Strong understanding of network technologies, its management infrastructure, and tools.

Basic understanding in cloud native technologies and processes (e.g. Docker, K8S) as well as data modelling and SQL (e.g. Oracle & PostgreSQL DBMS).
