Description We are offering a role in the field of Desktop Support Analyst in Detroit, Michigan. The workplace will be a dynamic setting within the technology industry, where you'll be tasked to provide technical assistance and support to various software applications and hardware systems. This role is offered on a short-term contract basis.Responsibilities: Provide problem-solving assistance on various software applications and hardware systems such as PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices. Perform routine maintenance on hardware and software, assisting in their proper upkeep and utilization. Offer technical assistance and maintenance support to departmental and end-users, both hands-on and via telephone remotely. Document the steps taken in problem resolution into the call tracking system. Deploy necessary hardware and software to end-users. Assist with the transport of hardware between different locations. Manage inventory control of the assigned location. Maintain knowledge of current technological developments trends in area of expertise. Provide individual and/or group instruction and training to staff on computer hardware and software. Participate in projects to set new technological and service directions. Enter all user support issues into the call tracking database and escalate to a higher level when necessary. Requirements Must have a strong understanding of MS Windows 10. Proficiency in managing Active Directory is required. Should be adept at using Microsoft Office Suites. Knowledge of Hardware and Software is necessary. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interact with end-users. Should have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Prior experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Must have the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Proven track record of maintaining professionalism and patience in a high-paced environment. IT certification, such as CompTIA A+, is a plus.
