Our deep-rooted commitment to excellence, collaboration, integrity, diversity and inclusion creates exceptional educational opportunities which prepare students for success in a global society.Essential functions (job duties):Provide APEX Accelerator consulting, training, and outreach in government contracting, as well as assist small businesses in selling to federal, state, and local government agencies and prime government contractors.Assists in recruiting new clients and representing APEX Accelerator at conferences, networking events, workshops, seminars, and on-site client visits.Establish and maintain relationships with government buyers and partners (incl. universities, economic development organizations, major prime contractors, State Procurement professionals, legislators, chambers of commerce, and other business groups).Develop, coordinate, facilitate, and present training workshops on various government business topics.Market program on relevant social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram (to include Stories), LinkedIn, and future social platforms). Update the website with training dates and description.Assists businesses with developing their marketing strategies for contracting with government entities.Participate in APEX Accelerator professional development at local, statewide, and national events, and APEX Accelerator hosted training and team meetings at Schoolcraft College.Collaborate with the Michigan APEX Accelerators on training and events.Perform other related duties as assigned.Unique duties:Qualifications:Education Bachelor's degreeBachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Acquisition and Contract Management, Marketing, Operations Management, Government Contract Management, Business Administration, or related field.Experience Intermediate (3 to 4 years job-related experience)Three (3) to four (4) years’ experience in Program Management or job-related.Experience with NeoSerra (i.e., APEX Accelerator reporting system), or similar CRM, System for Award Management (SAM), Certify.SBA.Gov, etc.Experience building networks within state and local governments.Higher education industry experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDetail-oriented.Ability to meet deadlines and schedules.Ability to prioritize, organize, and take the initiative.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local government contracting policies and procedures.Preferred qualifications:School/College/Division:H92 - Student AffairsPrimary department:H1612 Exec. & Prof DevelopmentEmployment type:
