Crash & HV Safety Engineer

The High Voltage Safety Integration Engineer will be responsible for design crash avoidance packaging to ensure the vehicle is compliant to vehicle safety regulations Engineer to review vehicle tree drawings, supplier CAE analysis results and virtual engineering crash simulation results iteratively for all crash modes.Provide feedback for design robustness. Track and convey issues discovered, update open issues list in real time.Maintain the product book for all electrified programs for safety and compliance items.Document best practices will be updated for Company's internal continuous improvement.Engineer in this position shall maintain the score card for management review, provide required technical assessment to management and the vehicle teams to assure successful and timely implementation of the safety requirements.Facilitate creation of safety procedures, such as first responder's guide, power up and power procedures, service procedures.Engineer is required to be familiar with safety regulations, safety feature implementation, packaging constraints and vehicle level CAD drawings.Work with powertrain Center of Excellence team and HV safety subsystem team to ensure best practice design features and processes are implemented for manufacturing, assembly, reliability, and compliance.
