LSA has a diverse research portfolio that encompasses research in the Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. LSA is expanding our research team to provide additional research development support to faculty in all three divisions. We are seeking a knowledgeable, collaborative, and dynamic Research Grant Proposal Project Manager to join our growing LSA Research Office team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting faculty members in the development, preparation, and submission of high-quality grant proposals to secure external funding. Responsibilities

Act as a college-level resource for faculty in the College of Literature, Science, and Arts to provide customized support for faculty submitting complex or large proposals, including training grants

Coordinate with the project team to develop timelines, ensure consistency in documents, schedule meetings, and manage proposal deliverable schedules

Edit and proo proposal narratives to ensure clarity, compliance, and competitiveness

Coordinate proposal submission process with Business Office Research Administrators to ensure comprehensive and seamless support to faculty submitting proposals

Develop and maintain strong relationships with principal investigators, university administrators, and external funding agencies

Foster a collaborative environment and coordinate efforts with multiple stakeholders, including co-investigators, subcontractors, and partner institutions

Assist faculty in identifying funding opportunities to support their research utilizing PIVOT and other available resources

Organize proposal-related workshops and training sessions to enhance faculty knowledge and skills

Stay abreast of changes in funding agency requirements, policies, and procedures, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline proposal development processes

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; minimum of 2-5 years of experience in grant proposal development, research administration, or related field

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and private funding sources and mechanisms

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adhere to deadlines

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to interpret complex instructions and guidelines and translate them into actionable plans

Experience working in a higher education or research-intensive environment

Strong initiative and demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaborative settings is essential

Desired Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field

Demonstrated success in writing proposals and securing grant funding
