Research Area Specialist AssocApply NowSummaryThe Research Program on Cognition and Neuromodulation Based Interventions is seeking positive, highly motivated candidate who possesses the skills described below to support faculty, study staff, and trainees. The program's mission is to identify and provide effective non- pharmacological treatments for persons with cognitive impairment and neurological disease. We focus on methods to assist older adults with a variety of cognitive impairments, utilizing neuropsychological theory, modern neuroimaging methods and a range of non-pharmacological treatments, such as cognitive rehabilitation and brain stimulation.It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience administering transcranial direct current stimulation to older adults. Responsibilities

Administer transcranial direct current stimulation

Assist in the design of research projects

Conduct informed consent process

Enter data into secure database

Train other staff in tDCS, eye tracking and iVR techniques

Participates in data analysis

Transport participants, as necessary, to support study needs

Other duties as needed to support the Research Program Manager/Director and supported studies

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, or behavioral neuroscience required

1-3 Years - related experience required.

Ability to implement complex research projects

Proficient in the administration of tDCS and eye tracking

Demonstrated ability to perform literature searches relevant to RP-CNBI studies

Ability to provide input into the development of research procedures

Experience working with older adults

Ability to evaluate study results and recommend improvements in research design

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative and effective manner

Ability to problem-solve and establish timelines and priorities

Available to work evenings and occasional weekends as necessary to support the program

Must have reliable transportation since local travel will be expected

Desired Qualifications

Proficiency in the development of SOPs.

Experience with investigator-initiated and federal sponsored trials.
