Job Overview
The Council on Aging in Chesterfield MA is seeking a part time Finance and Program Assistant responsible for providing financial and program services that contribute to the effective operation of the COA.
Duties and Responsibilities
● Overseeing the expenditure of funds for programs, services and grants in accordancewith budget appropriations.
● Preparing department warrants and billing.
● Assisting the Director with the preparation of the department’s annual operating budget.
● Managing and maintaining department records.
● Assisting the Director with program management, schedules and operations.
● Responding to phone inquiries regarding programs.
Qualifications
● Minimum high school diploma
● 1-3 years related work experience in an office environment; or any equivalent
combination of education, training and experience which provides the required
knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
● Effectively manage budget accounts using computer programs such as Excel and
related digital programs
Preferred Skills
● Proficient written and oral communication skills
● Knowledge of Google Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail)
● Microsoft Office Suite
● Financial spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets)
● Office procedures and bookkeeping
Position Details
● This is a part-time, non-salaried position.
● 15 hours per week with flexible hours; some remote work possible.
● The hourly rate for this position is $21.56
● This position does not offer health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off.
● This position requires a CORI background check.
