Are you interested in working with a caring, growing, and collaborative nonprofit organization that offers free programs, services, and neighbor to neighbor connections to older adults who wish to stay in their homes, neighborhoods, and/or communities? Amherst Neighbors is seeking a half-time, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to our Board of Directors and working committees, our volunteer services program, and our virtual and in-person educational and social programs. The Administrative Assistant will interact regularly with potential and active members, as well as manage database systems and other communication platforms. The preferred candidate will thrive in a dynamic, primarily remote, work environment and will have excellent interpersonal and writing skills. A minimum of two years working in an administrative role for a non-profit or similar organization is expected. This is a flexible schedule, contracted position.

Desired Qualifications

● Minimum 2 years administrative assistant experience, ideally in the non-profit sector.

● Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Writing samples may be requested.

● High degree of computer literacy: Proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps, and Quickbooks, and familiarity with publishing software applications.

● Experience working with Association Membership Management or CRM systems is a plus. (AN uses Club Express and will provide training.)

● Bachelor’s Degree preferred, comparable training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
