We design autonomous movement and mobility, artificial intelligence and machine learning, manipulation, simulation, robotic management software, predictive analytics, and much more.The Amazon Robotics Supply Chain and Operations organization sources and manufactures a portfolio of robotics technology and is responsible for getting the right materials to the right place at the right time to support our network of global fulfillment and transportation solutions.The Global Electronics Commodities Management team is seeking an experienced Sr. Supply Chain Manager for Electronic Components (PCB, Semiconductors, Passives, Cameras, FPC, and other core components) with a background in global supplier management, new supplier introduction, supplier development, and executing sourcing decisions to support new product introduction and long-term commodity strategy. The ideal candidate for this position will be self-managed and a driven sourcing strategist, with experience in electronics industry, mapping and aligning design and technology roadmaps, experience in creating sourcing strategies, and business acumen to support engineering teams to develop latest technologies through strong vendor base, without capacity constrain, while achieving cost reduction goals.The Sr. Supply Chain Manager has an important role in ensuring the electronic commodities and suppliers meet the technical and commercial specifications necessary for Robotics to satisfy its internal Manufacturing Operations, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and Hardware Engineering customers.Key job responsibilitiesThis candidate will work collaboratively with multiple business functions in a team environment and will be responsible for the following:-Driving best decision making with Hardware Engineering for Design for Cost (DFC) and Design for Lead Time and Availability (DFA)-Developing, scaling, and managing an electronics buffer strategy and inventory management working with a valued distributor and dispositioning excess.-Mapping semiconductor nodes for all active ICs and assessing risk for exposure to limited capacity.-Multi sourcing critical and high risk PCBA components. Collaborate with both design and manufacturing engineering to ensure second and third alternate sources to de-risk product manufacturing execution-Develop data analytic reports for specific content utilization and spend by supplier.-Develop and utilize a BOM health optimization tool at the electronic component level and use AI and automation to leverage a preferred supplier list and component list.-Challenge and scrutinize schedule accuracy and recommend decisions based on product schedules.-Facilitate supply chain decisions with other commodity managers and engineering teams to drive performance against schedule decisions.-Collaborate with technical operations, engineering, and program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements to ensure that sourcing strategies meet the technical capabilities, cost, and business objectives.-Support the purchasing and planning teams by monitoring supplier performance and addressing supply and/or quality issues.-Assist with component delivery escalation at contract manufacturers.-Maintain monthly supplier scorecards and conducting quarterly executive business reviews.-Periodic travel to supplier’s domestic and international manufacturing sites, approximately 1%.A day in the lifeAmazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. 5+ years of program or project management experience

5+ years of supply chain experience

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

Five years in PCBA component sourcing or manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
