DescriptionAmazon Robotics is seeking a motivated individual to join our new Robotics Change Management team in the US. We are looking for an individual who possess a blend of customer-facing and technical skills. In this role, you will work on system configurations, service integrations, working along side and support technical program managers in the team. In addition, you will drive Robotics fleet retrofit projects to improve the performance, reliability and safety of globally deployed robotic and automation systems. Your role will have a primary focus on retrofit projects. Working in close collaboration with Software Engineers, Retrofit TPMs, Hardware Engineering, Reliability and Maintenance (RME) partners, Deployment Engineering, this role will own integration of system changes, from strategic planning through execution and validation. Successful candidates will possess a blend of strong technical aptitude, trouble-shooting capabilities and customer-facing skills, along with a passion for technology.Key job responsibilities
Executing Change Management projects at existing Amazon Robotics buildings.
Leverage existing guides, task lists and configuration processes, systems and tools to deploy Software at Amazon Robotics site.
Own problems through resolution, engaging technical subject matter experts as needed
Monitor queues and respond to issues within defined SLAs
Create and maintain problem resolution procedures and identify need for new tools to support existing solutions
May become a subject matter expert in one or more areas, serving as a point of escalation on critical issues and support retrofits owned by technical project managers in the team
Participate in communication with Engineering teams
Developing processes to implement product upgrades on fielded Amazon Robotics products
Oversee multiple projects, and ensure program goals are met Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and driving change for the identified opportunities
Participate in the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data collection and share success stories during the lessons learnt workshops and review with cross-functional partners in Engineering and Operations to demonstrate value and efficiency.
Coordinating and tracking status of ongoing project activities with keen eye for details.
A day in the lifeAn exciting day in a life of a retrofit engineer involves, solving problems and learning new technologies. They will work very closely with the TPMs on the team and assist them through ongoing retrofits, through MCM execution and or through onground execution support. They will work with HW/SW engineering teams to understand different technologies and bring it back tot he team as knowledge. Identify improvement opportunities in existing processes. Focus on continuous improvement opportunities for the team.About the teamThe AR GSS Retrofits team is responsible for the intake, planning, and execution of hardware and software modifications to AR-fielded products, including drive units, chargers, pods, stations, and other related products. The retrofits team is responsible for implementing these changes to address critical safety concerns, resolve supplier quality issues, and deliver upgrades that improve value and personnel safety. With a bias for action and a focus on delivering results, retrofits are implemented across active Amazon Robotics fulfillment centers (Brownfields), Amazon Robotics inventory warehouses, and supplier locations. By maintaining the highest standards throughout every phase of implementation, the Retrofits team ensures seamless integration of changes.Basic Qualifications
4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience
Experience scripting in modern program languages
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications
Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
