Viv's Kitchen & Juice Bar is a fast casual, counter-service restaurant focused on healthy and ‘made from scratch’ foods, with a Brazilian influence. We serve breakfast and lunch every day, year-round, with a full service (vegan and gluten free) juice bar, as well as a very busy “Grab & Go” section with all homemade items.
About the Job:
The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations of our breakfast & lunch cafe, including menu development and food preparation. This role involves managing inventory, ordering, budgeting and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Head Chef with a passion for HEALTH & WELLNESS (this is VERY important!) and is ready to fully commit to a year-round position.
Job Responsibilities:
-Order, receive, unload and store deliveries; store, price, date, rotate, and stock product and prepare product for display and sale.
-Keep all kitchen products in display cases, coolers and freezers rotated in accordance with company policy and product code dates and always make use of the oldest products first (first in, first out).
-Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
-Supervise all kitchen/back of the house staff including hiring & training
-Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
Qualifications:
- Strong background in staff training, management, and hospitality
- Experienced with high-volume operations with a hands-on approach
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
-2+years experience with ordering & assessing inventory
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year, based on experience
Shift: 8-10 hour shift, 5 or 6 days a week.
Supplemental Pay: Performance bonus
