ASO Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our Oligonucleotide Chemical Development team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to develop robust processes for the synthesis of oligonucleotides.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about exploring novel scientific ideas and plays a key role in developing new cutting-edge technologies with a vision to push clients' state-of-the-art science in oligonucleotide synthesis that can ultimately impact patient lives. The professional scientific staffing services role is a position within the supplier’s organization under which lab work is conducted at a client facility.  Work is assigned by a supervisor from the supplier company, but is executed within Client labs using Client instrumentation and supplies.  Technical feedback and final review of data are the responsibilities of Client personnel, but all performance feedback and day-to-day supervision will be provided by the supplier supervisor.Job Description:This scientist will work in our oligonucleotide development laboratories located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The responsibilities include oligonucleotide synthesis process development, characterization, and scale-up to support the development and production of drug candidates. The individual will explore novel ideas to improve the oligonucleotide synthesis process for superior consistency or productivity. The position also involves developing synthesis processes of non-platform oligonucleotides.  The ability to design, perform, and record experiment procedures and data, interpret data, and write development reports is critical.Main job responsibilities include: Collaborate with development teams to design and conduct laboratory experiments to optimize and/or characterize the synthesis processes of oligonucleotides with an emphasis on improvement in process robustness and productivity and control of impurities.Record the experimental procedures and data accurately.Communicate research results effectively by writing research reports and presenting data in team meetings.
