Kevin Cradock Builders is looking for skilled carpenters. If you’re experienced in rough and finish carpentry with an emphasis on traditional New England craftsmanship, and want to work on high-end residential projects, this job may be for you.

Job Title: Carpenter

Reports To: Site Supervisor or Project Manager

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

-Perform rough and finish carpentry in all settings, both indoors and outdoors

-Focus on traditional New England style carpentry with a high level of detail and craftsmanship

-Work on high-end residential construction projects requiring quality workmanship and teamwork

-Interpret and follow blueprints, specifications, and drawings accurately

-Maintain job site standards and timelines through effective communication and planning

-Demonstrate responsibility for tools and readiness for consistent quality output

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE

-Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope and materials required for each project

-Accurate, clear layout and planning

-Install all carpentry-related components of the home

-Renovation framing of interior spaces, or ability to fully frame a structure

-Expertly install all interior and exterior carpentry finishes such as doors, windows, trim, cabinets, siding, and hardware

-Communicate with other team members to ensure project quality standards, and timelines are met

-Maintain tools and equipment in a state of readiness for excellent work

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in finish carpentry with an emphasis on traditional New England style carpentry

-Substantial experience with and understanding of rough carpentry

-Full set of personal tools and gear, KCB will provide a list of required tools

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a job site culture that emphasizes a positive approach to our work

-Willingness to help train rising carpenters and apprentices

-Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable work vehicle that can carry all needed equipment

-OSHA 10 at hiring, or within 6 months of employment
