Property Operations Specialist

Schochet is growing and we are looking for a Property Operations Specialist for our communities located throughout New England.

The Property Operations Specialist would be responsible for traveling as needed to designated properties to handle the day-to-day financial, administrative and maintenance operations of many communities.

Duties/skills include but not limited to;

1. Schedule, supervise, and direct the daily activities of all on-site staff.

2. Ensure all invoices are processed & approved on a weekly basis per Schochet standards.

3. Complete application/initial certification interviews, process files for eligibility, and complete lease signings in accordance both with Schochet policies and procedures and regulations of various applicable affordable housing programs

4. Provide support for recertifications, audits, and reporting.

5. Process and submit monthly subsidy voucher through TRACS by the fifth of each month. Post subsidy payments on a monthly basis by the third of each month. On a monthly basis, reconcile subsidy accounts receivables to ensure payment has been received or is expected to be received in the following month.

6. Assist with tax credit lease-up interviews and certification processing as assigned.

7. Prioritize, assign, and monitor daily activities, service requests, make-ready priorities.

This position requires 100% travel flexibility. Provide on-site coverage for emergencies/crisis/turnover of staff situations as needed. Training will be held in our Braintree, MA Corporate office. A home-based property will be assigned based on applicant location.

2+ years of experience in residential property management. Attendance at annual seminars to obtain tax credit continuing education credits is mandatory. Experience with Yardi accounting and compliance software is preferred.
