Position Summary:
The Young Parent Living Program Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the program, ensuring staff and participants adhere to policies and procedures. This role includes leadership, training, staffing, and collaboration with other programs to maintain a supportive environment for youth and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support staff, acting as a role model and ensuring consistent implementation of program policies.
- Facilitate weekly supervision, staff meetings, and annual evaluations.
- Oversee program operations, including staff schedules, budgeting, and documentation (e.g., incident reports, resident logs).
- Ensure compliance with training, safety, and quality standards, including trauma-informed care.
- Collaborate with external agencies (DCF, DTA) and develop community partnerships for family and program support.
- Conduct staff recruitment, manage on-call rotations, and monitor program expenditures.
- Organize creative activities, workshops, and group sessions for residents.
- Maintain program quality through regular audits and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience in residential care or independent living.
- Supervisory experience and a valid driver’s license required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and crisis management skills.
- Commitment to multicultural awareness, diversity, and inclusion.
Required Training:
CPR/First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Medication Administration, Trauma-Informed Care, and more.
Supervisory Role:
Direct supervision of Family Advocates and oversight of program safety, cleanliness, and facility maintenance.
