Centerboard is actively recruiting for a youth counselor to work at our co-ed Young Adult Supported Living Program. We are looking for someone to work our overnight shift, Th-Sat 11pm-9am. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a flexible work environment and enjoys working with youth as they develop and embrace independent living skills.
Essential Functions:
Providing transportation, oversight and support with life skills to youth ages 18 and over.Managing shift requirements and documenting case notes and shift activity.Engage with youth, including opportunities to make connections with family, community members or community resources.Motivate and support youth with daily activities, coping and barriers to tasks.Ensure safety and well being to every extent possible to program participants.Abide by policies and procedures as required by licensing agencies.Facilitate support as needed to create an independent lifestyle in a productive and safe environment.Experience working with youth in group activities welcomed. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. Must have computer skills and good communications skills.
