Simply Miraculous is seeking experienced part-time and full-time fine gardeners for the upcoming 2024 growing season. We are a small company that performs quality detailed work. Quantity is not our priority. It important that we give the plants exactly what they need as well as our customers. We enjoy and take pride in the work that we do at our properties. Our clients keep us very busy as a result. We currently have a waiting list of home owners who wish to obtain our services, so we are looking to find other like-minded fine gardeners to join our team.
Our season is begins April 1st (weather permitting) and ends Thanksgiving week. Our field work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:30am-3:00 - 3:30pm. Fridays are used as a rainy make-up day or shop area organization time when needed. Fridays are not mandatory. Saturday and Sundays are for play and rest, so we don't work weekends.
FINE GARDENER ATTRIBUTES
Have a positive attitude and enjoy the outdoors even when the weather isn’t the best.
Be on time and ready to work at the scheduled start time.
Be respectful of other gardeners and the properties we service.
Must be able to work as part of a team and help other gardeners through out the workday.
We are fine gardeners, so the ability to pay close attention to detail is important.
Must be able to work independently on site with other gardeners nearby.
Asks questions of the Lead Fine Gardener and/or Owner when unsure of any task needing to be performed.
FINE GARDENER DUTIES
Weeding, deadheading, and tiding up of beds.
Fertilization or various plants and shrubs
Maintenance and care of rose bushes.
Hand pruning of ornamental shrubs.
Aides in the installation of new plants, as well as the transplanting of flowers and shrubs.
Mulching of beds after new planting installations.
Seasonal planter installation and maintenance.
Must be able to lift 25lbs min.
Some hand watering during the hotter times during the season
Shirts, hats, and sweatshirts are provided. Each fine gardener will be given their own bucket with specialized fine gardening tools to use each day.
