Facilities Assistant - Part Time

Scully Signal Company has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Facilities Assistant.
Summary
The Facilities Assistant will report to the Facilities Supervisor and perform typical maintenance and repair tasks to support our office and manufacturing facility, including the assembly floor and related equipment, property, machinery, and related systems. This position will also assure all processes are performed within company safety standards.
Essential Functions
Assist with maintaining building, grounds, equipment, and corporate vehicles.
Assist with minor repairs of building and equipment.
Assist with completing scheduled maintenance to support assembly floor equipment and building and grounds.
Assist with minor electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, painting, and carpentry work.
Assist with maintaining safety stations and participating in health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure job safety and compliant work environment.
Perform custodial duties not addressed by outside contractors, such as snow removal and landscaping.
Clean common areas not covered by cleaning company.
Set up and breakdown cubicles, offices, and manufacturing shelving and work cells including moving furniture and fixtures.
Set up / teardown of recreational activities.
Run errands including pickup of supplies.
Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent, trade schools a plus.
Minimum 1 year of facilities maintenance work or experience in equivalent environment or trade.
Physical effort is required to move objects and service-related tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds.
Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service and repair equipment.
Valid driver’s license in good standing and good driving record required.
Forklift certification a plus.
Positive, flexible, and pro-active attitude—willing to assist with a wide range of tasks.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 20-30 hours per week with a standard schedule to be determined based on availability between 6:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
