Sanctuary Medicinals in Littleton MA is seeking one Human Resources Assistant to join the Massachusetts HR department of one. This will be a supporting role to the Director of HR. Position Type: Full-Time 45 hours on site – Littleton location (Hybrid or remote with approval from Director of HR). We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.Job Summary: As an HR Assistant in the cannabis industry, you will provide essential support to the HR department by assisting in various human resources functions. This is an entry level role.Key Responsibilities:Recruitment Support: Assist in the coordination of recruitment activities, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience. Employee Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of HR documents, such as offer letters and employee files. Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and facilitate open enrollment processes. Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees, providing information and assistance with HR-related queries. Assist in the resolution of employee issues and contribute to maintaining a positive workplace culture. Compliance: Ensure HR practices and procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits as needed. Training and Development: Coordinate training sessions and development programs for employees. Track employee training progress and maintain training records. Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or applicable certificate, or no degree or certification but does hold equivalent proven experience). 1-2 years of experience in HR or related administrative roles. Familiarity with Massachusetts employment laws is a plus. Working in a regulated industry is a plus. Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
